PASTOR LILY

A lily is a beautiful flower that Jesus used to compare His compassion to Humanity. He said that "... Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: They toil not neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these (Mathew 6: 28-39).

Yet the lily grows in the most difficult part of the pond, in the midst of slime and grime and slowly pushes through to the surface of the water where it breaks into one of the most beautiful flowers on earth.

It opens us to the stranger to admire its beauty. It allows the bee to feed on its nectar without charging it anything. It does not complain, neither does it feel oppressed by doing what his creator made him to be, Pastor Lily.

This is how our Christian life grows, in the middle of scum and sin, yet when it matures, it brings the most beautiful life of Christian and like Jesus, gives out his or her life to others.
